Henry is a 10-12 month old Australian Cattle Dog who was found as a stray with his border collie buddy before a winter storm.  We couldn’t leave him behind so he joined MOKAN as an honorary border collie.

Henry loves everyone and would be a great family pet.  He gets along with other dogs and loves to play with his foster brothers.  He likes cats but does think they should be his friend and doesn’t understand why they don’t feel the same! Henry is house trained and crate trained, rides well in the car ( but still gets nauseous at times) and is doing pretty well on leash walking.

Henry’s favorite things are Benebones, stuffed Kongs, belly rubs and romps with this friends.  He also likes the baby pool, going on walks and watching over the yard from the deck. He is slowly getting more interested in toys but so far has no interest in fetch.  He has moderate food drive.

Henry does like to chase cars while on walks so this is something he has been working on but it will likely be a long term process.  He is also working on basic manners and obedience.  He is a typical young cattle dog and someone with breed experience and willingness to continue his training will be the ideal home.  That said, he is of moderate energy and does not necessarily  need a working or sport home, just a family to love him and keep him busy.

Henry will need a 4 foot or higher above ground fence to keep him safe.  He is being fostered in the Ozark, MO area.
