Hi.  My name is Sam.  I am 14 week old tricolored aussie/border collie mix with more love than I know what to do with.  My foster mom says I am a perfect boy.  I am house trained and crate trained.  I sit for my meals, even if my foster siblings are busy losing their minds and barking.  Playing, sleeping, and cuddling are my three favorite things to do (except eat, but isn’t that true for everyone?).  I love playing chase and wrestle with the other dogs.  Going on walks and exploring is the best.  Although I can be pretty energetic, I can also just hang out, taking a nap or quietly chewing on an appropriate toy.  I also have a really cool trick.  I have trained the people to feed me treats while they trim my nails.  I get a treat, they get to trim a nail.  Easy for them, fun for me. 

I have a wish list (I was going to say manifesto, but foster mom says that doesn’t sound very nice).

Sam’s Wish List:

1.       People who love me and want to cuddle a lot

2.      People who want to play with me, running around the yard, going for walks, but maybe not in the rain.

3.      A soft bed, preferably your bed, but am content with a soft place on the floor.

4.      A dog who likes to play with rowdy puppies

5.      A kid.  I would love to have a kid.  Kids are the best.  I would play with them, sit on their laps, and, if I am tired, even let them read a book to me!  Did I say I love kids?

6.      Training time.  I am really good at sit and am improving with the recall.  Leash training needs some work.  It might be fun to try agility.  I have already played with a tunnel.

7.      Food.  I love food.  Right now, I need food three times a day because I am growing.  Foster mom says she knows when I am getting ready to grow because I gobble up all my food and ask for more.

8.      Toys would be good.  I play nicely with toys, not tearing them up, even if they are full of wonderful stuffing!  I do think grabbing shoes and running off is fun, but will politely give up the  shoe in exchange for a nice toy.
