Oliver is an easy dog to love.  He is a medium energy border collie mix who likes other dogs and LOVES people.  Any contact with a person is ok with him – belly rubs, tricks for treats, walking on leash or even quietly cuddling in bed or on a couch.  He’s a quick learner and very food motivated so he’ll be a great candidate for many activities.  He’s about 4 years old, house trained and past the puppy chewing phase.  He uses a doggy door in his foster home.

Oliver gets along well with the two dogs in his foster home.  He plays well with the younger  dog who has good play skills and shows respect for the senior dog who prefers to be left alone. He is a mild dog to dog resource guarder of both people and food so he’ll need an owner who can work with him.  He uses his body language to control valuable resources but has never escalated beyond a hard look and quick head butt. 

Oliver was surrendered for being too interested and focused on the resident cats and rabbit so he’ll do better in a home by himself or with other dogs.
