Courtesy Post. See contact info at the end of bio. Meet Quincy! This 1 year old border collie (mix?) came from a CA shelter where he was out of time. He is good with dogs, but enjoys a rowdy playmate! He was neutered and is fully vaccinated. When he arrived he was almost frantic in his appeasement gestures toward humans......lots of jumping up, licking at hands, groveling. This has improved a ton, as he has adjusted to the routine and is gaining confidence. The Good! - Very dog friendly! Although a bit rowdy, he also takes cues well from the older grumpy buddies to knock it off. - HIGH food drive! 10 out of 10 on this. In the week he has been here he has learned sit with default eye contact, down, spin/twist, pedestal/Klimb. He will do anything for a cookie! - Very well crate and kennel trained. He is quiet and clean. - Super cuddly, although can be clingy - Rides well in the car Needs work..... - Moderate toy drive. He has a natural fetch to hand, and prefers balls/squeaky toys. No tug drive so far.....this appears to be lack of confidence in general. No disc drive so far. - Needs continued confidence building.......I believe he may have been handled roughly in his past. Quincy could make a fantastic family pet, adventure buddy, or even sport prospect for a patient, positive based trainer. He is cute as a button and just a tiny guy at 30# and 17" tall.
