Heidi is now 4 months old and has truly blossomed!

She is no longer a skittish little girl trying to learn how to interact with people and accept being cared for...she knows what it all means and she LOVES it!

Heidi is very playful and loves being with her people. She has 100% puppy liveliness and is very engaged with her furry foster siblings. She will do best in a family with at least one other dog as a playmate and energy-expelling partner. She is also very fond of her foster kitty cats and doesn't mind one bit when they show her attention in the form of a hissing smack. She still believes they love her too and happily gives them kisses. Likewise for her foster bunny rabbit who she loves to visit with and shows no interest in treating like a squeaky toy.

Heidi is crate trained and sleeps crated at night or whenever her foster mom needs to leave the house for short periods of time. She has shown no destructive tendencies (chewing on furniture, etc), but because of her young age and puppy-tude, it would be best if Heidi is not left unattended for lengthy periods of time, even crated (3.5 hours).

Heidi continues to learn basic commands (sit, wait, drop) and is always very happy when she learns from her people that she has done a good job.

She is almost completely housetrained, with only an occasional accident whenever very important distractions require her undivided attention (squeaky toys!).

Sweet little Heidi has come such a long way in a short amount of time and will be a very loyal, loving addition to your family. Please consider meeting this special girl in person to see if she tugs at your heart the way she tugs at ours.
