Lark and her three siblings were found abandoned in a box in Branson, MO.  Records show they were probably born around 3/23/2021.

Lark (Lark Puppy) is a confident young puppy.  She is a pretty little thing, with crisp brown and white markings.  Lark has two foster dog brothers, Havoc and Pete.  She now shadows Havoc everywhere.  He has taken her under his wing and taught her how to be appropriate with other dogs.  Lark definitely shows respect and deference to him.  This pup has met barn cats, which did not seem to interest her.  She has not had experience with house cats.  Her foster home is on a sheep farm.  When she was introduced to some lambs, she tried to get them to play with her.  When the play bows did not result in a response from the lambs, she went off and played elsewhere.  She has shown no herding tendency.

Lark is quite active.  She loves to run with her foster siblings, chase after balls (but not bring them back), explore in the tall grass, and splash in the water.  With all of the toys available to her, Lark has chosen a Kong and a pile of sticks as her go-to toys.  She will also happily play with tug toys until your arm wears out.  The kiddie pool in the yard holds her interest for long periods of time, especially if there are sticks in the water.  Lark also likes learning new things.  She picks up on new commands quickly, especially if there is food involved.  Given her love of running, she would have a great time helping with your workout!

Lark needs a family which will continue to challenge her mind and keep her active.  She is crate trained, and will nap there without a lot of fuss.  Lark is fully potty trained and will race for the door when she needs to go outside.  Because of her tendency to mouth the ankles and hands of her humans, on-going training to help control that biting will be necessary.  When she does this, she responds well to redirection with an appropriate chew toy.  She does get extra mouthy when she is tired.  That is resolved by putting her in her crate.  This puppy biting makes her best for a home without young children.  A home with senior pets would not be a good placement for Lark.

Lark is being fostered in the Holden, Mo area.
