Jessie was found as a stray outside a hotel in Oklahoma. She was taken into a local facility. They didn't have the space for her and on the day she was to be put to sleep, she was brought into the rescue. She has a beautiful medium coat. She was being treated for heartworms, and has finished her treatment. She is approximately 6 to 7 years old. Jessie is a loving girl. She wants to give love and to be loved. She obeys her human well and is mostly house trained. She did have two accidents when she was first brought into rescue, but with taking her out often she has not had any others. She loves her crate to sleep in at night and feels safe there. She loves to go for 2 mile walks and smiles and interacts with big and small humans and other animals along her way. She knows the command to sit and will respond to learning others with treats. As border collie's go, she is a low energy dog for her breed. She prefers relaxing to running. She loves children and other animals. In Jessie's prior life, she was not treated well. Through good treatment in the rescue, she has stopped hiding in the floorboards of the car and now sits up looking pretty and looking out the window. She will need a little bit of time to settle into her new home. She checks in with her human often as she walks. She wants to be loved so badly, and has so much love to give in return. She loves to snuggle in your lap and when you lay on the couch, she will snuggle right in the back of your knees and nap as long as you do. She gives the most special hugs as she will place both paws on each side of your waist while she smiles at you. She gladly goes into her crate at night by command, and enjoys a biscuit after entry and takes them very gently. She is the most gentle loving dog who will happily go wherever you do and stay right by your side. Jessie is being fostered in the Branson, MO area.
