Callie is an 8-12 month old Border Collie, likely Husky mix, found as a stray.  Since coming into rescue, she has done nothing but gain confidence, discipline and structure.  Simply put, she has blossomed into a sweet, playful, energetic & extremely active happy puppy.  She can be determined at times, she would thrive with another dog that enjoys playing, and an active home. 

Callie is house broken, but would likely need a refresher in her new home, she is a puppy.  She is kenneled trained, quiet at night in her kennel, and when her foster dad is at work.  Sometimes, in the evenings she will go in her kennel on her own and just chill in her own space.

She has done exceptionally well with her foster siblings.  Her senior foster brother doesn’t care for play, and Callie respects that.  Her younger foster brother LOVES Callie and they will play for hours on end.  She would love to have a sibling that she could play, run and chase outside.  Callie also loves the dog park and makes friends quickly.  She gets along with all dogs and doesn’t engage if the other dog won’t play or if she picks up that vibe.  She just finds one that will play with her.

Callie is great on leash, loves to go on walks, would make a good running or hiking partner.  This girl is up for any adventure!  She chewed on a few human things early on with her foster.  Since then, with good daily exercise and a few variations of super hard chews at her disposal, it's been a non issue.

Callie did jump a fence the first week in foster care. She has since been kept on a long lead, with her foster dad present at all times while outside.  A fully fenced yard would be strongly preferred to keep her safe.

In closing, Callie is a very spunky, high energy dog looking for an active home.  She’s extremely playful, she enjoys playing catch and release with toys, tennis balls, and her own tail!  She’s silly, goofy and sometimes even clumsy in the cutest of ways.   She’s just adorable, loves to please.  Are you the forever home for this special girl?  Get your application in now, because with her personality, beauty and wide range of amazing dog qualities, she won’t last long!
