MaryJane (MJ) is a 1-2 year old 40 pound medium energy Border Collie. She was found tied up to a storefront so no prior history is known. MJ is super sweet, curious, playful and very puppylike. She enjoys playing with and chasing other dogs, likes children and gets along with kittens. Toys and frisbees are fun to run after, but she rarely brings them back. MJ loved the dog park, kisses new dogs and always chooses submission when dogs correct her.

MJ will sit and greet you with kisses when you come home and will curl up in your lap -- regardless of whether there is room or not. She is potty trained when on a firm routine and is kennel trained (though she doesn't voluntarily go in, she does well at night and when her foster family is gone during the day). MJ likes to have company when going outside and has not tried to jump the fence. She is a little timid when greeting new guests, but quickly friendly. Mary Jane is still working on some manners (staying off counters and leaving couch pillows alone) but is responding well to training and learning new commands.

MJ would do well in nearly any home except the sedentary. She would love a dog friend and would make a great running partner.

She is being fostered in the Kansas City area.
