We are now accepting applications for Addie but she will not ready for a few more weeks as she recovers from her spay and lumpectomy (benign!)

Addie is an approximately  5 year old female Aussie or Aussie/Border collie mix.  She does have a docked tail.  She is approximately 40 lbs.  Addie has been treated for heartworms and is now ready to get back to enjoying life!

Addie is a very sweet, lower energy girl who loves toys and has really become quite the hoarder.  She enjoys loafing on the bed and would probably be a great TV watching buddy.  She will give you a sad look and gently paw at you when she wants more attention or to go outside.  She has a super cute habit of grabbing a toy on her way outside to potty, sometimes carrying it the whole time she is out! She is crate trained and basically housebroken (marked a few times on the other dog’s beds) and walks well on a leash most of the time (unless she sees a cat!)

Addie is NOT good with cats or livestock and should not have those in her home.  Addie would prefer to be an only dog as she can be unpredictably grumpy with other dogs.  She is really quite the princess and just wants everything to be about her!

She needs more training on nail trimming and we have not yet done any bathing or grooming so we are unsure how she does for those things.  She rides well in the car.  She is afraid of thunder but only in that she does not want to do outside.  She has not been destructive or required any medication.

Addie may not be a good fit for very small children as she can get cranky sometimes if she is grabbed the wrong way.

This girl won’t last long and will make a great companion!

Addie is being fostered in the Springfield, MO area.
