Hi potential family, my name is Haas (like Hoss), a 1 ½ yr old border collie looking for a family who will keep me for my forever.  I’m a 55# lap dog and adore my people. I’m not really particular if you’re short, tall, male, female, young, old, I’ll love you no matter what.  But it’s really important to me that you love me just as much.

Foster mom commends me all the time on my manners and politeness.  I wait to be invited to eat, I always go potty outside, I walk well on a leash and I know all my basic commands.  I want to be close to my family and a part of the family.  I love scratching my back on the carpet or the couch, and sometimes I make goofy sounds because oh, it feels so good!  I’ll bring you toys and balls to toss around with me, and I’m learning to bring them back and drop them for you.  Recently I went shopping with foster mom and I loved it!  So many fun things to look at and foster mom kept telling me what a good boy I was.

I get along fabulously with most dogs, but pushy, dominant dogs make me a little uncomfortable.  It will be important for me to meet any future doggy siblings.  I’ve been around young kiddos and I really like them, too.  Cats are fun to chase.  If they run, I will chase them.  We aren’t really sure how I’d be with a cat in the house.

I want to be part of the family and need a family who will understand the importance of playing with me, throwing my toys for me, talking to me, and letting me sleep in their room.  You see, I have a little anxiety when I’m alone and don’t know where my people are.  Crates are super scary to me, and I might remodel one if I’m left alone in it.  But you can leave me out in the house for a while, and I’ll respect your stuff and won’t mess anything up!

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines, heartworm negative, on heartworm, flea and tick preventatives, and microchipped.  I’m being fostered near Sedalia, MO, between Kansas City and St. Louis.   If you’re interested in meeting me, the first step is to fill out an application and my people will contact your people.  I can’t wait to meet my new family!

Love,

Haas
