Hi, my name is Benji, I am a very handsome, 3-5 yr old brindle Merle boy, about 36 lbs. I’m slim, but the vet thinks I am perfect size!

My last owner was unable to care for me, I am now in a wonderful foster home with Mo-Kan BC Rescue.

My foster mom and dad are so nice, I try and keep one of them in my site, as I am learning the ropes here. I have 2 foster sisters that are really fun, playing run and chase! They are teaching me how to play this tennis ball game, we run fast and retrieve a ball, it is really fun! They are the boss, I am happy to follow as they teach me about life here.

I have a big yard, and I LOVE being outside. Me and my foster sisters take walks almost daily, mom says I am really good on a leash. I am showing her that I know “look, sit, shake, and down”. I love treats and willing to learn anything new.

I am housebroken, crate trained, and also fine to sleep on the floor at night, next to my foster mom. I don’t bother anything that is not mine, and ok to leave out with my sisters when mom and dad are gone. I have found the toy box with so many squeaky toys to play with too. I will share toys with my foster sisters we have so many!

After a walk or play time, I am content to hang out with my humans and take a nap. My foster mom says I am pretty laid back for a BC. She thinks I may also have the temperament to be something called a “therapy dog”. I don’t know what that is, but I’m up for learning anything with my foster mom.

I did meet the grandkids, age 2 and 4, and really love them. I am very gentle with them, and have learned they like to have a game of tennis ball!

My foster mom has introduced me to other dogs, and people, and I like all my new friends.
