Marshall is a 2 year old male smooth coat border collie looking for his forever home. Marshall is a snuggler and loves attention. He likes to go on hikes and play in the yard but he is also content to sit with the family on the couch to watch TV. He is great with other dogs. He solicits play well and can also take a hint if the other dog is not feeling equally playful. Good with both big dogs and little dogs, he likes to be near them but is respectful of their space.

Marshall is house trained but does need to be let out frequently. He is currently crated while we are at work and left to roam the house overnight with the other dogs. He has not gotten into anything or chewed anything up. After being crated for several hours he can be rambunctious when he is let out again but taking him out to the yard to play right after seems to do the trick. He usually settles pretty quickly.

Marshall is great with kids, he usually chooses to sleep in my children’s bed at night (our bed is taken up by a very moody Frenchie). He is very good about leaving all their toys alone (their rooms are extremely messy). He would do best with children who are 6+ years old as he does sometimes put his paws up on them and could potentially knock over really little ones.

He does try to put his paws on people when he greets them but we are working to curb this behavior, he’s doing well but does forget sometimes. He walks fairly well on the leash but will pull (also a behavior we are working on). I have not seen any leash reactivity towards people or other dogs. He has gone on several dog play dates and has done very well. He is bright and very food motivated.

Marshall is a great dog! A pleasure to have in the house and so much fun. See the video of his great play behaviors, how he interacts with other dogs and our guests who he met for the first time that day, you can also see he is very athletic and he bounds around the yard. He's beautiful!

Marshall is being fostered in the St. Louis, MO area.
