About Cooper (2013)

  • Microchipped: Yes
  • Exercise Needs: High

Cooper is a wonderful dog, very happy and playful boy, his tail wags all the time.  He gets along with every dog he meets, and he has been good with young children he has been introduced with, but would do best with children 6 and above because of his energy level.  Cooper doesn’t know a stranger.  He is very outgoing and willing to try new things.

Cooper has great toy and food drive, but has very nice manners. Cooper is a moderately high energy dog that loves to play, but does listen when he is told play time is over, although he looks very heart-broken.

Cooper would make an excellent performance dog in obedience and would love to be certified as a therapy dog. He has great focus and attention for food and a toy, and really wants to please and learn. Cooper’s ideal home would be one that loves to take hikes and play frisbee in the backyard, but not letting him over do it. He has the tendency to be over exuberant if his exercise is not monitored. I have been told that he loves water, but haven’t seen to what extent yet.

Cooper has wonderful house manners and kennels well in both the house and car. He is a very good traveler.  We are still working on leash manners, but he is learning quickly not to pull. Cooper needs a fenced in yard to keep him safe. His Foster Mom is currently working on his re-call with a long line.

Cooper is around 2 years old and weighs 41 pounds.

Cooper needs to be tested with cats.
