Hello! My name is Romeo. I’m a one-year-old, handsome, red and white border collie who really wants to be the star of a great love story. There’s one catch, though; no sad endings for me! I want my love story to have a happy ending with a wonderful new family.

One of my favorite things to do is play with my foster humans’ Golden Retriever. I really just want to be friends and run around with any doggies that want to play with me! I find cats interesting, but they don’t like me as much as my dog friends. Maybe it’s because I chase them sometimes? I think cats that know other dogs aren’t nearly as upset with me. I like to show off a bit; sometimes I get the zoomies and run around super fast. I also very much love to play with toys, but I do better with the ones I can chew on for a while; otherwise, I like to pull out all the fluffy stuff.

I’m pretty smart, and I have been working on my sit and stay. I’ve also gotten very good in my kennel. Occasionally I’ll bark, but I have been working on that. I’m fantastic when I go on walks, and I am getting much better at pottying outside, too! I have a little bit of energy that I need to burn, for sure, but I also REALLY love some good old fashioned snuggles and belly rubs. I’ll even lean my head into your hand as you rub my head. I’m not too big; at about 30 pounds, I can easily cuddle in your lap! I’m neutered and up to date on all my shots, and I don’t have any heartworms or parasites. All I need is for you to take me home so we can snuggle, play, and snuggle some more.
