Cassie arrived in rescue nearly emaciated, full of parasites and with five nursing puppies.  She was definitely not feeling the best but was sweet and loving nonetheless. Qualify food, deworming and time allowed Cassie to gain weight and feel better.  Cassie is now a healthy 35 lbs, the puppies are weaned and she is ready for adoption!

Cassie is a low energy border collie.  She loves to play with other dogs (but may be a bit rough for very small or sensitive dogs).  She is starting to pick up toys and will tug with other dogs but when a person is involved all she wants is love!

This sweet and cuddly girl is crate trained, mostly housebroken, walks gently on a leash and is getting used to things like baths, brushing, and riding in a car.  Cassie would be a great walking partner, therapy dog and companion.  She is somewhat food motivated and enjoys chewing.

Cassie will be adopted to the home that is the best fit, not necessarily the first qualified application.  Please be patient if you don’t hear back right away.  We expect to process many applications for her.
