They say that "still waters run deep" and this is exactly what many people think of when they meet Raven. A sleek, smooth-coat beauty, Raven is quiet and gentle. But it is clear that a great deal is going on in her mind as she watches. Raven was not introduced to different situations as a puppy, so everything is brand new to her, and you can watch her thinking about it. And while she is sometimes shy and careful, she is always gentle and respectful. She gets along well with other dogs, even looking to them for support as she explores new things.

Raven does take time to feel comfortable in new situations, so she will need a family that is willing to help her explore and continue to gain confidence. It is important that a potential family understands that Raven will be shy and withdrawn when they first meet her, and will probably be for the first few weeks until she gets to know them. However, after she begins to trust, she becomes affectionate and playful.

Currently, Raven is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and will stick close by her people. She is crate trained and travels well, even to hotels! Raven plays well with other dogs and would really appreciate having a brother or sister her size to learn from. She loves to run and play outside and even enjoys a swim. We believe that Raven is about two years old. She will need a fence to keep her safe.
