Kenzie is a 1 year old, 40lb Border Collie who loves three things: snuggles, tennis balls, and Frisbees (not in that order). Kenzie needs a special adopter that will not only give her a wonderful home and that is understanding of her, but will also continue her training. Kenzie does have general anxiety and will continue to blossom with ongoing, dedicated training. She lives wonderfully with the resident dog and she now happily shares with him. Kenzie will alert you to noises around your home to make sure you are protected against all of the things, so she needs a home that will allow her to "turn off", and wind down. She's in tune to humans and their emotions, and she hears every little noise. Now if you’re still with us, here are the good things about Kenzie. She is a Velcro dog once she trusts you and loves to be where her people are. Kenzie will happily lie next to you and cuddle and most importantly she will love you with her whole heart. Kenzie now happily greets her foster dad with whines of excitement when he gets home. Kenzie has a wonderful toy [BALL!] drive and will do anything to play fetch. Speaking of fetch, what does Kenzie want in a forever home? She would love adopters who promise to play fetch with her as much as possible - she would happily play fetch all day long if she could. She currently gets at least one fetch session every day and most days several! Kenzie would do best in a home with a private fenced yard to accommodate her exercise needs - getting her exercise has proven to be one of the most successful methods of alleviating her anxiety, so this is important. Kenzie has a moderate-high energy level and would do best with an experienced Border Collie adopter able to handle her energy and anxiety. Kenzie has lived successfully with other cats and dogs, but is not dependent on either. She is crate-trained, house trained, and knows basic commands. Kenzie needs someone who will be dedicated to her and to continuing her training to help her be the happiest she can be. Kenzie is spayed, micro chipped, and UTD on vaccines prior to adoption. She is currently fostered in Raytown, MO Please visit our website for more information about other great dogs and to find our adoption procedure and adoption application. http://www.mokanbcrescue.org/
