Ellie is a young 3 year old 36 pound registered Border Collie. Her previous owner had some major life changes and relinquished her to MO-Kan in May 2018. Ellie would love to help you make 100 new human friends. She loves everyone including children and greets them with enthusiastic kisses and full body hugs. She would be a good candidate for agility, as she is adventurous, treat motivated, and eager to please. She loves searching for hidden treats, especially chicken eggs. She rides quietly in the car. She has been fostered with both young and old canine housemates. Ellie would do well as an only dog. Otherwise, she does best with passive dogs who don't mind her herding them. Ellie has plenty of puppy-like energy and curiosity. She is crate trained and pottys well on a leash. She will need patience and guidance when she transitions to her new home. She needs an owner who is active and has time for training. Ellie needs brisk daily on-leash exercise and ideally a fenced yard. Ellie would also like to add a request for sleeping in the people bed. Although she is used to sleeping on a dog bed in her crate at night, she points out that her sitters always let her sleep in their beds. Ellie is being fostered in St. Louis, MO.
